news report

![]() Indymedia ireland's newswire is being swamped by material that has little relevance or respect to the newswire. read on! lets think about this now. indymedia wants to be a serious alternative to the corporate owned media, now an average visitor coming to the imc ireland site gets to see this trash and electioneering on the newswire. where is the news? where is the independent articles, analysis, etc... very little so far. all we have seen instead is a few decent reports from the editorial team, reprints from the corporate press, cross posting from other indymedia sites (this is all very well but what does a call to anti-capitalist demo in washington dc have anything to do with imc ireland, shouldnt it be hidden?). where is indymedia ireland going. imc cant restrict the likes of the leninist parties (sp, swp etc) posting to the site because indymedia is based on free speech, but could imc not hide them from the frontpage. important breaking news from activists should get on the frontpage instead of trash like, for example today (Stinking filthy lying Zionists garbage pollute the earth, SWP election candidate in Ansbacher account scandal, DEBATE-Information about alternatives in election is welcome (debate on a newswire), and more has been posted in the past. So no more abuse of the imc newswire please. real news instead of racist crap etc! |
