![]() 'A bad business: the arms trade and Ireland' The Galway Alliance Against War is holding a public meeting on Monday, 13 January, 2003, in the Atlanta Hotel, Dominick-street. The main speaker, Joe Murray of Afri, will trace the growth of arms of production by multinational corporations in Ireland. Other speakers will address the local issue as it relates to the Hewlett-Packard plant in the city. The meeting, which will be chaired by Michael D. Higgins, is part of GAAW's ongoing campaign against weapons' manufacture. Will there be some discussion at the meeting on demo in Shannon on Sat. Is there a bus or anything planned? Hopefully we'll get something sorted here in NUIG early in the week and let ye know what we are up to.

At the link above you should find an article with lots of updates, links and comments about the HP Galway nuclear weapons issue. I understand that the public meeting on Monday will focus on this issue especially.
Every Monday now for almost a month I've been on to the Galway Garda to see how their criminal investigation is getting along... So far the complaint which I sent in with Irish CND in December has been only "receiving attention". If there's no progress by Monday the next letter they'll receive about this will be from my solicitor.
Any action be taken on the HP relevations?
