![]() Protest in Cork tomorrow, calling for the FREEDOM OF PALESTINE and an end to the disaster and devestation that the people living there, have been suffering from for decades. The protest aims to mobilise public opionion in Cork against the Israeli aggression and launch a boycott of Israeli goods until such time as Israel complies with UN mandates and intenrational law and withdraws from occupied territories in Palestine. The protest is organized by the Cork Peace Alliance, which currently has two of its peace activists - Mary Kelly and Caoimhe Butterly - in Palestine and who have opted to remain there, risking their very lives, in an attempt to act as a detterent to further attrocities by occupying Israeli forces. Contact: John Jefferies - Cork Peace Alliance - 021-4270409 - jjefferies@journalist.com - 15 Fr. Mathew Quay, Cork. It is also being co-orgainzed by Palestinian doctors based in Cork. The Evening Echo currently have it advertised and it follows on from last Thursday evenings talk on Palestine attended by over 150 people, and last weekends demonstration in Dublin attended by 2,500 people (and not 500/600 as the Irish Times had it down as!) Please come along and fight for the rights of people who are so less fortunate than us!
