Latin America Week (LAW) - Events 2016 Human Safety or State Security? The global migrant crisis from a Latin American perspective. Wednesday 20th April: Event: Fernando López concert: Corazón Ixil. 8pm @Beerhouse - LR duo is a 2 piece band that performs a very extensive and special repertoire with the most popular Bossa Nova and Jazz Standard tunes, interpreted in English and also Portuguese. Fernando is a renowned Guatemalan songwriter who is committed to social justice through his songs. His songs have been sung to celebrate the guilty veredict of Rios Montt.
