Farnaght Volunteer Day, Co. Longford

category longford | environment | event notice author Friday March 28, 2014 15:53author by NWT - Native Woodland Trust Report this post to the editors

Our previous two volunteer days in Farnaght earlier in the year had to be cancelled due to the weather so there's a lot to be done. On the day we will be planting a new hedge and checking on how our previously planted trees are doing. Farnaght was first planted over ten years ago and the birch in particular has shot up making this reserve a great place to visit to see how quickly native woodland can be established.
Bring Suitable clothing and lunch.

Meeting Point - Main Street, Drumlish, Co. Longford (Car park opposite Costcutters)

Date: Sunday 30th March, 12 noon - 4:00 pm
Location: NWT Farnaght Reserve, Leitrim/Longford border
