Examples of installations; ‘Sorted like’ a short film by director Stephen Broekhuizen, shot in Cork City, in a tourism meets comedy style, with the support of Cork businesses. California based choreographer Martin A. David, traveled to Cork in June to set and film his installation ‘We all mourn’ a contemporary dance choreography. Crowd funding through Kickstarter has aided this installation. Poet Adam Wyeth facilitates a series of workshops in relation to his new book The Hidden World of Poetry: Unravelling Celtic mythology in Contemporary Irish Poetry, this July. Harmony is the song creation installation facilitated by Caz Jeffreys and recorded by Rik Appleby of Lionheart Productions, to be created July 12th 7.30-10.30m at The Crane Lane Theatre, Cork. The project also incorporates a weekly one hour radio broadcast on Irish Radio international, every Thursday 8-9pm.
All installations incorporate an arts participation ethos in the invitation to the public to ‘get involved.’

Artists of The Gathering-RSVP are invited to become a member of:
A group of creators working towards a unique piece of world culture, in an Irish context; by discovering connections, developing community, and engaging with the people of Ireland at home and abroad. We invite the Irish Diaspora and their new communities to explore and appreciate the many strands of Irish culture from the secure foundations of our heritage to the inspirations of contemporary art. We do this in the spirit of arts participation, and with full respect for the arguments of differing perspectives, misconceptions, false stereotyping and blind acceptance.
In our invitation to the project we ask artists for a response to our themes on the subject of what it means to be Irish today; we began our explorations with ‘What is Irish Culture?’
**
This means:
1. A series of artistic responses, to the questions of what it means to be Irish today, in a variety of genres, are created and developed in 2013.
2. These installations are destined to be distilled into, and re-connected by the writers and producers of, a 2hr promenade theatre presentation, integrating film, music, dance and poetry with community arts participation.
3. This construction requires months of separate yet thematically connected events, with opportunities for public participation, and countless of moments of inspiration, towards a final theatre presentation that will be unique in every instance of its being.
4. The two hour representation of the hundreds of participants, of the several contributing installations, will then be spread out onto the lives of its audiences with another opportunities to access QR links to the previous public events detailing- artist’s practise and process, interviews on the weekly radio broadcasts, photographic and video documentation of each installation.
