When Dicey summarised the principle of parliamentary sovereignty he wrote: "Parliament can do everything but make a woman a man and a man a woman." Alas, thanks to the European Court of Human Rights, that's no longer true.

It's increasingly clear the virus leaked from a lab in Wuhan. But could it have been made in the USA? Will Jones suggests the behaviour of the Chinese Government before and after the sequence was published gives us a clue.

ASK JP MC MANUS TO WITHDRAW LIVE HARE COURSING SPONSORSHIP!

category international | animal rights | opinion/analysis author Tuesday July 03, 2012 19:11author by Association of Hunt Saboteurs Report this post to the editors

SPONSORSHIP OF LIVE HARE COURSING IN IRELAND

The multi-millionaire JP MC MANUS is sponsor of the annual Irish cup event, usually held in Co Limerick every Year. The Limerick coursing Club have recently lost their usual venue at the Limerick race track for next year and we now have an opportunity to lobby the sponsors. If sponsorship is pulled in this case it will be a serious blow to the Irish coursing club and help to end this blood sport once and for all.

Live Hare Coursing: Sponsored by JP McManus
Live Hare Coursing: Sponsored by JP McManus

Please contact JP Mc MANUS by phone, letter or email. Ask him to stop sponsoring sports that involve animal suffering and abuse. We know this man donates a lot of money to deserving causes but publicity is scarce (almost non-existent) regarding his support for LIVE HARE COURSING.

During Hare Coursing, hares are chased, terrorised, netted, ear-tagged, struck and mauled, as well as being pinned down by two trained Greyhounds, many die from their internal injuries. Greyhounds also sustain injuries during the chase.

Without sponsorship, hare coursing could not continue, and JP McManus is the biggest sponsor of all.

Email correspondence for attention of JP MC MANUS. Just a sentence will suffice if you wish...simply asking him to STOP pumping money into this horrific blood sport.

Hare coursing is a criminal offence. Giving money to those who organise cruel animal baiting events is not "philanthropy".
