Molyneux Nursing Home closing after 200yrs. Staff enter their fourth day of protest. Those of whom protesting do so ,on their days off or on annual leave. Negotiations have broken down between staff and management. On Monday management refused to enter talks until all banners were removed from the railings which were on public property. Staff removed banners, so as to enter into meaning talks. During those negotiations management refused to acknowledge or speak to the 3 female staff and only spoke to the the gentlemen representitves from the INO and SIPTU.They have shown total disrespect towards the nursing staff, care assistants and catering staff. In January 2011 management illegally implemented a paycut without gaining the consent of staff, directly in breach of the Payments and Wages Act 1991.
