Artists Statement
Color, energy, reflection, loss, tension, distance and places inhabited are some of words which would describe Gerard Greene work. Elements and color interact to create mood, rhythms and echoes. However the qualities are not all formal, the work allows glimpses into a more personal world, where the past is made present.

PATRICK MCGLYNN – Ireland (shakuhachi )As a musician, Patrick is especially fascinated by the creative impulse, synchronicity and exploring the soul through sound. Most recently, he has performed at the Kilkenny Arts Festival, the Brazilian Computer Music Symposium and the ABSOLUT Fringe. Patrick is currently lecturing at NUI Maynooth, where he is developing radically new ways to perform music using multi-touch surfaces

The shakuhachi is a Japanese end-blown flute. It is traditionally made of bamboo, but versions now exist in ABS and hardwoods. It was used by the monks of the Fuke school of Zen Buddhism in the practice of suizen (吹禅? , blowing meditation). Its soulful sound made it popular in 1980s pop music in the English-speaking world.
They are often made in the minor pentatonic scale.

ROCCO ANTICO - Italy (flute)Rocco Antico started playing the flute in the Music Academy Pescara Italy ,Phd in performance arts with National Drama Academy “Silvio D’amico” L’Aquila and Rome. A very informal event, meant to be participative, where persons will have one month at least given to study the subject and bring in their contribution like readings, art, videos, performance actions, even if there is not a deep knowledge of these personalities, but inspired (even vaguely) to it and site specific.
Conversations will be part of the evening event, but participants can be even be simple listeners.
Once is decided a name, everyone will have to submit to it, whoever is allowed to bring suggestions.
In case of too many ideas the name will be drafted.
