Egyptian General admitted that he performed  virginity tests in those women  arrested in demonstrations in the country two months ago, but which previously  denied these accusations  dismissing them as untrue. 
Dozens of arrests made by the army when army forces forcibly removed demonstrators from  Tachrir square in Cairo on  March 9.
A demonstrator talking about her horrific experience  later on, brought forward the whole thing as follows:  they undressed us in  front of the cameras prior to any virginity tests in a military prison. Any of us found that she was not a virgin  accused of prostitution.
Senior General who is not named, admitted on CNN that there were TES virginity defended the practice.
"I did not want to be accused  of sexual abuse or rape. For this reason we wanted to prove that this women  were virgins at the outset, "and the General added:" None of them was (a virgin).
The Supreme Council of the Egyptian Armed Forces, which ruled the country since the ousted from power, former President Hosni Mubarak, said it is investigating allegations of torture during virginity tests.
The confession of the General  has activists highlighting the fact that the  army Council  follows the same repressive tactics that led to the rebellion against Mubarak.
