Voicing concerns about grooming gangs is a "dog-whistle", a "little trumpet" and jumping "on a bandwagon of the far Right". That's what Labour really thinks, says Andrew Doyle, and voters will not be forgiving.

Expresses outrage and calls for international inquiry

April 8th, 2011:

As members of the academic community in the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, we wish to express our outrage at the comments made by police in Mayo towards Maynooth student Jerrieann Sullivan and another protester who wishes to remain anonymous. Many Maynooth students have taken part in protests at Rossport and elsewhere over the years, and all have a right to do so without fear of intimidation, assault or sexual violence. We add our voice to the call for an independent international inquiry into the policing of protests around the Corrib Gas project.

The garda attitudes, and your own dismissal of these events, illustrates neatly just how clerical child rape and abuse went on for so long in this sainted and scholarly little cesspot, with the collusion and co-operation of judiciary, guards, media and the shure-what-about-it shite you are pumping.
Try getting Shell to 'obey the law' and divulge details of its private 'security' squads with their mossadic methodology. Now there is a mob of group-thinking global thugs-for-hire you will find agreeable to your law-abiding outlook.
Next time you're mugged and the gards have a chuckle(or maybe your economic status is such that they take you more serious than the rest of us)I hope you find yourself as cheerful and amused.
As for the Independent's headline, thats just the pap-rats feeding on any passing chance of sensationalising the issue any way they can. But then I suspect you are well aware of that.

"Mk", whoever you are:

(1) "Towards", not "to". "In respect of", "in relation to", "about".

(2) If you don't understand how hearing people threaten to rape you can be terrifying, I'm afraid I can't help you. There are courses run by professionals available, though.

(3) Should I understand from your comments that if people don't give their name and address it is acceptable to discuss raping and deporting them?

(4) I note that the two women concerned did eventually give names and addresses - which were immediately leaked to tabloid journalists. In terms of obeying the law, I understood that the gardai were subject to the same laws protecting personal data as any other body.

There were no comments made 'towards' this woman. She was in a different car and didn't hear the conversation.......which didn't stop her from complaining about her 'rape hell' on the cover of today's Independent.

Now, when most people hear the words 'rape hell' they assume that the person on the receiving end had in some way experienced rape, or maybe even sexual assault. Perhaps aggravated sexual assault. However, if eavesdropping on someone else's conversation leads to you hearing a joke you don't like sending you into a such a spiral that you end up experiencing a 'rape hell' then I suggest your student is either ridiculously soft or, more likely, is downplaying the seriousness of what happens to actual rape victims. I once heard Stan Boardman tell a joke I didn't like - was I raped?

Any chance you could teach your students to obey the law and give their names once they've been arrested? That's a part of the actual law, rather than the retroactive mob rule group-think certain corners have been indulging in
