there are people who will accuse you of been an egostist. othere will say, your latest election campaign stunt plays into the hands of the state
I would encourage people to vote for candidates who opposed the IMF bail. out those who campaigned against the Lisbon treaty. those who opposed the budget 7 December 2010
the thoughts of Enda Kenny, Eammon Gilmore. in political right coalition government is scary.
given the facts on the savage cuts introduced in December. over 440,000 people unemployed. 1000 people emigrate per week.
vote Independent Socialst Community Activists
we need women and men with strong political class analysis
people in Sinn Fein like Aengus o Snodaigh should be supported

Catholic AND anarchist???
I respect what these people do on the anti war front. But is there any chance they state where they stand on that other taxpayer bailout, when Minister Michael Woods passed the compensation bill for paedophile priests on to the general population, to the delight of the vatican, who saved a cool billion by the stroke.
On the radio this morning they mentioned some sort of ceremony of penetance or regret of some description thats going on today.
I'd be more convinced if they took on their responsibilities and said the church will pay this from its own deep pockets. Like our political puppets, these lads wont be in need of free cheese to get them through the week. Sharing the pain seems to mean we do the endurance and they do the administering of the punishment for the crimes of those we were not 'all in it together ' with when they scammed us.
Con c's read makes sense.
There are some who would say keep voting, even though every party that's ever been elected to any sort of power puts political expediency before principles and becomes part of the problem.
There are some who would criticise anyone who speaks out about this, resorting to personal attack in the process.
We need women, men and children with clear vision and open hearts.
We need community and sharing, not competition and exchange.
Vote Schmote!
Irish bishops reject 'bonus culture' of capitalism run amok
By John L Allen Jr
Created Feb 21, 2011
Facing an economic crisis that has produced record unemployment,
staggering levels of household debt, and deep political unrest, the
Catholic bishops of Ireland have issued a stinging critique of the
excesses of advanced capitalism and its bonus culture, calling for an
economy rooted in social solidarity as opposed to radical
individualism.
Pressing beyond abstractions, the bishops pointedly call upon the
Irish public to support higher tax rates in order to fund social
services, especially for low-income workers and migrants.
The bishops warn that if the justifiable anger over the economic
collapse is not addressed, the specter of social fragmentation and
violence cannot be ruled out.The Council for Justice and Peace of the
Irish bishops conference issued its statement, From Crisis to Hope
[3], this morning in Dublin, just five days ahead of national
elections in Ireland on Friday.
With the collapse of socialism as political force, the Irish bishops
write, we are witnessing for the first time the emergence of a more
radical individualism which has little sensitivity to the nature and
significance of belonging to a society.

... the bishops walking the walk and moving beyond their customary lip-service.
They can start by opening their 'palaces' to the homeless and losing their ridiculous uniforms before moving on to living on basic social security incomes and depending like us peasants on public services instead of limos and private medics.
Once they have that example set they can start advocating the vatican do the same. And seeing as they are so concerned about those of us on low incomes they can get the 1bn compensation levied on us for the church collusion and cover-up of its members' sex-crimes against childeren lifted and transferred to the vatican's in-tray.
Amen.
