Artists protest for a beautiful world

category national | arts and media | news report author Sunday September 19, 2010 22:21author by Trade Union TVauthor email tradeuniontv at gmail dot comauthor phone 0876101340 Report this post to the editors

Artists performed at Kildare Street to highlight low pay and the inability to organise because of the unjust Competition Act lunchtime 16th September 2010.

Andy Irvine , a brass band and a multitude of musicians wowed audiences with a reworked version of the trade union classic 'Which Side Are You On?' along with a beautiful rendition of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' with a simple yet pwerful and colourful performance highlighting the plight of artists which is pretty poor at the best of times but devastating during a recession.
