Dig-out Bertie receives 200,000 euro for no show job.

category national | anti-capitalism | other press author Sunday December 13, 2009 17:18author by P. Murphy Report this post to the editors

The corrupt, disgraced, former Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, receives more than 200,000 euro for a no show job.

Aherns total take from the Irish taxpayer is in excess of 200,000 euro the London Times reports. He didn't bother to show up for the Dail debate on the budget, a budget which will cause misery and hardship for many and aggravate the grotesque income inequalities in the state whose economy Ahern and his bankster cronies helped wreck.

Bertie has been too busy using State cars and security, and our tax-payers' money, to attend signings for his book. All expenses for these things should be covered by his publisher. But why not save them a few bob and let the idiot Irish, who would no doubt like to see him as Lord Mayor of Dublin (Maynooth already is making him a 'Professor' in a move which shows that irony is dead) pay for his self-promotion. There is no point in blaming Bertie when we the voters voted for him time and again. We tend to vote more for dodgy politicians than for straight ones. Bertie is OUR fault.
