A "cull" of humanity with a high fatality pandemic is the only "realistic way" to avoid climate collapse, according to former UN contributing author Bill McGuire. Grisly green neo-Malthusianism is back.

Will there be any representatives from Cuban dissidents at the event? Like the 69 political prisoners Amnesty International reports as being held in Cuban jails. Or will this simply be another celebration of one-party communist dictatorship and repression? While the admirable universal healthcare is free in money terms, it comes at a huge price in civil liberties.

Will there be a campaign for free elections? The right to vote? For more than one political party! Freedom of expression? Newspapers, radio and TV stations not necessarily owned and run by the Communist party. Freedom of speech? Freedom of assembly? Freedom to form independent trade unions. Access to the internet and uncensored email. Or even to have a computer.
Or freedom to emigrate if you don't like the way the country is being run?

Some beacon!
