Criticism of Islam is a Protected Belief, Judge Rules Sun Nov 09, 2025 09:00 | Toby Young
In a landmark Employment Tribunal ruling, a judge has found that being critical of Islam is a protected belief under the Equality Act. This renders the Government's efforts to ban 'Islamophobia' largely pointless.

Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4 5 6James Watson hadn't intended to include an Irish university in his 6 stop tour (which is now cancelled) promoting his book "avoid boring people". But not enough people have jumped on his head yet to really link his latest display of white supremacy with the overall economic direction of biotech. So let's remind ourselves of who is against and who might yet be for Dr Watson.
In the against corner - all organised religions, all fraternal organisations who profess human equality, all feminists & all racial equality activists - basically everyone you know or don't know.
In the generally for corner - the small pro-human-enhancement lobby which in the absence of Watson will nucleate around Richard Dawkins the "atheist chap" who indeed Watson thought he was going to enjoy a "how clever are we" chitchat with this weekend at the the Sheldonian theatre in Oxford & of course Stephen Hawkings who believes human intelligence is restricted by the size of the vagina as birth canal (it's does two things). These are eminently splendid men whose idiocy is as monumental as ozymandias. Do not let your kids read their books. Distribute photos of them in your neighbourhood and organise spot checks to ensure they're not being offered shelter.
Of course some people will excuse Watson & claim he was misquoted or is being misrepresented. So here's the original interview - http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_ent...8.ece
TCD long Room Library was showcasing a Watson exhibit in the very, very recent past. it was attended by;
Micheal Martin (Biotech Resource/Trade and Employment)
Mary Hanafin (priveleged education provider- dept of Education., daughter of rightist Des Hanafin)
and
Sir Reginald Empey.
Very soon after the exhibit, Sir Reg accused Mr Bertie Ahern of 'Throwing a bomb into the peace Process' by
courting the SDLP.
So Watson got his showcase in Ireland, which would show that he is a far better self-publicist than his
partner who does not seem to want his name spread like manure all over the media and use it to platform
his dicky ideas.Interestingly the TCD blurb has gone on the Watson exhibit, the only photos were in the free press-
'Metro' and 'Herald'
They are very Catholic, those who support him, with big money in both the London Westminster
legislating for research ;and Trade and Employment in Ireland following 'suit'.
