Jump To Comment: 3 2 1Capitalism is moving more and more to outsourcing and to playing different states off each other in an attempt to get more and more profits. Sinn Féin will find this difficult to deal with due to their nationalist political philosophy. Capitalists will want to use Northern Ireland as a cheap place to get skilled and educated workers. Aer Lingus are moving out of Shannon and moving to Belfast to get cheaper and more exploitable workers. Sinn Féin in government are facilitating this by seeking tax exemptions and differentials with the rest of the UK. The NI Executive are happy to accept proposals to lower the Minimum wage in NI so long as there are other tax breaks for big business! Sinn Féin want the North to 'compete' for jobs by offering lower pay. This will put British and other European workers out of better paid and unionised jobs.
Irish Ferries, Aer Lingus, GAMA, the list will go on.... and Sinn Féin are facilitating these policies North and South.
Where do the establishment parties stand on the Aer Lingus move?
According to the UTV web site
Junior minister Gerry Kelly welcomed the announcement as a tremendous boost for the local aviation industry.
The Sinn Fein North Belfast MLA said: "Our economy will greatly benefit from these eight new routes and will provide further choice for travellers.
"Significantly though, the flights to Heathrow and Amsterdam will raise the opportunity of direct onward flights to many more worldwide destinations."
Mr Kelly said the announcement was yet another tangible example that the peace dividend was working .
"I want to thank Aer Lingus for choosing us and Belfast International Airport for ensuring their vision becomes a reality,"
Welcome to the new society!
that has been quite astonishing is the silence from Sinn Fein on this issue.
