Jump To Comment: 3 2 1Another rambling article packed with misinformation and outright lies - the usual crap we've come to expect from Socialist Democracy. More proof, as if it were needed, of why SD are completely irrelevant and will never be able to point to a single worthwhile thing that they've achieved. Useful only as a parody of the worst habits of far-left sects - a sort of "there but for the grace of god go I" wake up for any over-zealous socialist. In that sense we owe them a real debt.
I simply dispair at this constant "Groundhog day" loop of splits and factions and new grouping and so on and so on!!
I´ll admit I haven´t even the energy to read into what this split is about, but it simply goes to prove that socialialist politics doesn´t stand a chance of going anywhere as long as everybody continues with this "I´m a real socialist and it´s my way or no way" attitude.
Maybe there are certain ideals that can´t be comprimised on, but we have to live in the real world and at least make a genuine effort at left unity.
This sectarian micro-grouplet - Socialist Democracy - never ceases to amuse me. For some inexpliciable reason, they seem to consider themselves the font of all wisdom on the doings of the Irish left. Unfortunately, there opinions are rarely backed up by knowledge of what's happening or has happened. This nonsense about Red Banner is a case in point.
It's drawing conclusions from nothing more than speculation about what did or didn't happen. John, is there any chance you'd just mind your own business? I mean, one micro-grouplet 'analyses' (read 'engages in polemic and negative attack') another. Yawn!
