i read a lot on the mideast and didn't quite know how to start to help. then, i read about caoimhe 'the irish butterfly' taking on tanks in behalf of the children in palestine, and taking a hit; i emailed all over the place in her behalf. that started my developing a solidarity campaign. today, we are many and i am u.s. committee representative for the international human rights march in palestine and israel, sheduled for september and organized by women's international league for peace and freedom, oslo, norway. caoimhe inspired many and continues to do so. her strength is our strength, and struggle is inspiring others to follow in her path. a new world is possible! dorinda moreno, west coast, (turtle island), u.s.a.

PSNI GOONS Don't forget to give Andre prior warning before you jump him, leave you're mates at home, if you're soo hard. Don't just pop him, the way youse did William Stobie.

Just goes to show the stupidity of the PSNI goons, stupid bastards fell right into that one. PSNI are raging cos they were caught out beating peaceful lady protestors, after all their SPIN about being 'REFORMED!!' HA, HA, HA, the last laugh's on PSNI bozos.

An alleyway, just you and me, you without your protective gear, your batons/weapons and your mates. No witnesses. Me as I am, with no weapons, but only if you promise not to go squealing/crying to your mates when I beat the fuk out of you.

So you admit PSNI are wifebeaters, and from your gentlemanly attitude it appears you actively encourage PSNI officers to beat defenceless women. I can see you're salivating at the mouth at the thought of Caoimbe being dragged by the hair, I suppose this is the way you're use to communicating with your submissive wife/desperate whore girlfriend, drag the lickle lady along by her hair, very galant and gentlemanly. 'Play by big boys rules?' We didn't see any big boys in uniforms, if they were so big and hard they wouldn't have needed to wear so much protective gear and hide behind masks. Gosh it's very big and hard to beat a defenceless young lady, when you're wearing so much protective gear and when you're armed with batons. I'd like to get you in an alley way by yourself, with no witnesses, then we'll see whose the hard man.

A brave person following her conscience deserves respect and I give it to her freely. We need more people like Caoimhe if we are to achieve a society of peace and democracy.

Personally I lean more towards favouring a more aggressive interaction with the police from a tactical standpoint, but I respect her stance and principles.

Wish I had half her bravery. She inspires me.

Caoimhe daubed some of the red substance (which I think was jam) onto one of the riot squad's shields, totally nonagressively, and was dragged off by the hair.

laugh at these people if you like, but I think of them as heros - not because they got hurt but because they put their ass on the line. The others that were not hurt were just luckier(perhaps a bit smarter?) than those who did get hurt.

We need to support our own (from whatever political leaning or membership), why? because no one else will.

Hahaha, I bet you were all delighted at the thought of another protestor bleeding, maybe it will get on the news tonight and hopefully whatever "automoton pig" carried it out wasn't wearing an identity badge. most of the time this "independent news service" is simply a line of crusties whinging about their latest exploits hurling themselves in front of batons. look at my broken rib, look at my bleeding head. This is what the protest movement means for a lot of people.

i should have thought of this earlier when i uploaded the photos, but the 'blood' is not real blood, nor is it Caoimhe Butterly's blood. the folks who were there know this, but looking at the photos again I realise that others may not understand the full picture.

photography is not always the greatest for context, and this is an example.
