Lap of Ireland 14th December

category national | miscellaneous | press release author Wednesday December 13, 2017 12:03author by Aidan McNally - 2Wheels 4You Report this post to the editors

24hr motorbike lap of Ireland "LAP of HONOUR"

In recent years a dear friend was lost to massive heart attack. A young man Paul "Pulit" Carroll, collapsed in his home one evening after work. He would never again regain consciousness and was laid to rest some couple of weeks after.

In his memory and to support his young children, a life long friend who has not only a passion for motorbikes but was also All Ireland champion road racing rider for consecutive years in his motorbike road racing career, Mr Keith Costello will travel the entire country on his motor bike December 14th 2017 to honour his friend and raise funds to support the daughters left behind.

A route has been planned and final calculations as to where the petrol stops will be, lunch time and dinner, along with all the necessary precautions. Weather watch is very much to the fore of everybody's minds as the LAP of IRELAND sounds or looks simple but mother nature may have other plans.
Conditions are cold but mostly dry and so Keith should come around within the 24hrs scheduled.

Keith will hope to see many along his route and there will also be a live feed available to the public to monitor his progress and keep up to date with when he may just pass any particular local area. Keith will travel south from his Dublin starting point and counting west across Cork, north to Galway out through Mayo on up to Donegal back east through Derry turning south after Coleraine touching Belfast and Back south to Dublin.

The support team is stocked and ready to roll and will be positioned around the country with supplies and even a back up motorbike should needs be, for KEITH to complete the lap.
There are updates available on Facebook & Twitter @2Wheels4You where there are sponsorship links and fund raising links also.
