WSWS review

Link to a wsws review by Joanne Laurie of a new Israelii documentary: The Gatekeepers, directed by Dror Moreh.

The newly released film –directed by Dror Moreh., a former election ad maker for Ariel Sharon - largely consists of interviews with former heads of Shin Bet , the notorious Israeli intelligence service . According to Laurier , The Gatekeepers “ provides a glimpse into the crisis wracking Israeli society and the failing Zionist project.”

Carmi Gillon……… Shin Bet director from 1994 to 1996

“a brutal occupation force, similar to the Germans in World War II”; Avraham Shalom…..Shin Bet director 1980-1986

There have been discussions about arranging a film/video festival to coincide with the June Alternative Anti-G8 summit in Dublin. Perhaps this would be a good film to show ?

(Any other suggestions welcome by the way either here or at : http://dubaltg8.org/)
