China?s Climate Charade: A Green Fa?ade for Economic Supremacy Wed May 07, 2025 07:00 | Tilak Doshi
China's claim to 'climate leadership' is a geopolitical manoeuvre to counter Trump's narrative, not a pledge of emissions cuts, says Dr Tilak Doshi. Expecting China to join the West's economic self-sabotage is delusional.

While they have worked in their positions within Molynuex Nursing Home they have shown the utmost care and support for the residents, and now are being repaid by the management by a total lack of respect.
Here's to wishing that your rights are met!

This is a disgrace that any form of management feels that it is acceptable to treat working staff in such a manner. The head of this care home should take a good long hard look at how they manage care staff and any staff apparently managed under their position.Another point is if this is a nurse manager I am shocked nurses and all staff of care homes and centres work long unsocial hours, agreed part of their duty but for heavens sake long standing workers of any organistaion should surely be given proper renumeration for service rendered. This group of staff are looking for what they are duly entitled too and this is truly shocking.
I passed by today in utter shock. Staff soaking wet protesting in the rain. My mother is in a private nursing home and if she was I'll treated Like the staff at the Molyneux were today hiqa would close the place down. I was also annoyed to see the staff were all Irish. Now I see why there are few Irish staff in nursing homes. Shame on you Molyneux Home for neglecting kind hearted women, shame on you, a charity.....,. That's what I heard!!! Shame on you, you should support Irish .
I was passing Lesson park today and it really lifted my spirits to meet such a couragous, articulate and logical crowd of people. It was pouring from the heavens and they most really feel hard done by to be protesting especially in such weather! I wish them the best of luck and want them to know my day was all the better for having met them.
i would like to thank all the people who came along and spoke to us we have a meeting thursday not before time and i would like tosay a big thank you to the lady who got us tea and coffee thank you your support has been great
I work in a nursing home not far from the Molyneux Nursing Home. It has given me great hope as a nurse to see other nurses standing up for themselves. It has made me question my subscription to the INMO. Why didnt they come out and help the staff. This is how real change will happen in the nursing profession and all over the country. Real people standing up for themselves and saying enough is enough. You are not doing this just for yourselves but for all nurses. Good Luck.
As a former member of staff of the Molyneux Nursing Home I was so disappointed to hear it was closing as it was fantastic care home with excellent staff all accross the board from the nursing staff to the catering staff. I dropped by the home on Tuesday and like many members of the public was disgusted to see my former colleagues standing out in the rain being ignored by the management. I am delighted to hear they will engage with the staff today and hopefully the staff will get what they deserve which, at the very least, is a decent redundancy to say thank you for their long and loyal service in making the Molyneux as succesful as it was
I have been walking past this nursing home for many years now and have always spoken with families on their way in and out of the home and never once have I heard a bad word about the place. It is a disgrace the way the staff are being thrown away after many years of service and the management should be ashamed of themselves!!
The dispute at the Molyneux has been resolved , thanks to the co-operation of Derek Reilly Inmo, Damien Ginley Siptu and the Management of the Molyneux nursing home. The staff have enjoyed many happy years working at the Molyneux Nursing home and are glad that we were able to reach a resolution. In response to comments above I would urge all nurses to join the inmo. Thanks for all your support.
Finally a resolution has been resolved for the members of staff at the Molyneux Nursing Home. My thanks go to Damien Ginley, SIPTU, Derek Reilly, INMO, they have done trojan work for their members, and may I give a little advice to all members of any union,
"A Union is as strong as its members" Thanks again Damien and Derek, and everyone else who has supported us. Thank you.
