Simon Kuper's book about how a small group of 'Tory Toffs' who were at Oxford in the 1980s masterminded the Brexit project to reclaim their aristocratic birthright is highly entertaining, but not convincing.

You might think that if you debunk patently silly extreme weather claims, the entire fear agenda will go away. Think again. Climate change is now firmly embedded in the culture wars surrounding race, identity and gender.

The Ninth Summit of the Americas is to be held in Los Angeles in June. However, Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela were not invited by Washington and will be excluded. A vast movement to boycott the summit is taking shape around the Caribbean states, Mexico and Brazil aimed at repudiating the attitude of the United States. In this context, Washington is partially lifting embargo measures against Cuba and is preparing to reopen oil export negotiations with (...)

Croatian President Zoran Milanovi? announced that his country would oppose any enlargement of the Atlantic Alliance until the situation of the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina is resolved. Croatia has no particular problem either with Finland or with Sweden, but, like Turkey, considers that its own national interests should precede those of these countries. In 1996, President Milanovi? served as adviser in the Croatian mission to the European Union and NATO. As for Turkey, US Senate (...)

1,800 Ukrainian fighters hiding in the Azovstal steel factory in Mariupol have surrendered as of 16 May 2022. However, information collected by Russian debriefers suggests that the number is closer to 2,500 Ukrainian army soldiers on site, including 804 Azov regiment banderites. Civilians who were able to leave the factory testified that they had been used as human shields by the banderites. The Russian authorities have vowed to release the regular soldiers, but consider the banderites to (...)

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Russian side equivalent of NATO in strategic terms, scrutinized, on 16 May 2022, the rise of neo-Nazism in Western countries. In their preparatory documents, the researchers noted that: ? In the industrial era, Nazism was characterized by the cult of the leader in the industrial era, whereas today's era of social media promotes a totalitarian organization of society. ? Historical Nazism was mostly directed against Jews, while neo-Nazism (...)

The Ukrainian battlefield is the most subsidized in the world by the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union. This massive investment is aimed at supporting not the Ukrainians, but the Banderists, in total contradiction with the goals of the Alliance during World War II. This money is taken from the social programs of the donor countries, i.e. the Western poor are out of pocket.

The Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) claims that Google grants access to 4,698 businesses, at least 294 billion times a day in the United States and 197 billion times a day in Europe, to the data it mines about sites visited and the locations of Internet surfers. This represents the largest privacy breach in history.

During a 16 May 2022 podcast interview, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, currently the richest person in the world, cast doubt on President Joe Biden's abilities. He pointed out that the Biden administration is in the grips of certain lobbies, notably leftist unions, setting it apart from the more people-oriented Obama administration. Above all, he sized up Joe Biden as being teleprompter-dependent, assuring that the real Power is wielded by those who write the texts read out by the president. (...)

Numerous US Congress members are sounding the alarm: aid to Ukraine represents a stratospheric expenditure that is straining the national budget. Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) warns, ?There are crises erupting all over the country,? hinting at the scores of problems that range from rampant drug use to massive illegal immigration. 57 representatives and 11 senators refused to vote for the 40 billion dollar tag requested for Ukraine. Some candidates running for regional elections blare: ?Not (...)

Turkey continues to refuse the accession of Finland and Sweden to the Atlantic Alliance. In view of the NATO "Article 5" mutual defense clause in the event of attack, each new membership requires the approval of all members. Turkey has put forward the following two conditions: ? vis-à-vis Washington: Ankara demands to be reinstated in the F-35 production program. Not that she intends to acquire these planes ? on the contrary, she prefers to count on the more reliable F-16s -, but because she (...)

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has urged for the immediate lifting of the West's embargo against Russian fertilizers. Indeed, Russia is the largest producer of fertilizers in the world. The shortage in this area is already being felt in the agricultural sector worldwide. If the embargo continues, it will cause a drastic drop in food production, rapidly leading to famine in many countries, especially in Africa. The Wall Street Journal reported on 16 May that the lifting of (...)
