To whom it may concern: The list of manufacturers here are just some of the business's in the south of Ireland that are connected with the machinery of imperialist wars. Can we get a discussion going leading to a widespread, coordinated and effective campaign, with the goal of ending the manufacturing of any military components or devices in Ireland for war?

It was done in the north, we can do it in the south. See The raytheon 9 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raytheon_9 and related links.

Last Wednesday, July 7th, Elijah Smith was released from Lewes Prison. He had been held since the Israeli bombing of Gaza in January '09. Along with his co-defendants he had been acquitted unanimously of all charges by the jury. This concluded 18 months the EDO 9 spent before the courts for their nonviolent resistance to the bombing of Gaza. read full story / add a comment

When?
April 15th at 7.30pm.
Where?
Central Hotel, Exchequer Street, Dublin 2.

Feminist open forum will discuss the upcoming trial of the 9 women
protestors versus the missile-making raytheon contractor based in Derry.
In 2009 protestors barricaded themselves into the
raytheon missile factory to highlight their inhumane and fatal
operations. One of the main customers of raytheon is the Israeli
Defense forces which killed 28 Gaza civilians in 2008 with a raytheon
“bunker buster” bomb.

The 14 raytheon accused are 9 women and 5 men, based in Derry, in the north of Ireland, who are facing criminal charges after they used Non Violent Direct Action to access the raytheon Software plant in Derry, in an attempt to disarm the mainframe computer.

raytheon are the world's largest manufacturer of missiles and the world's fifth largest weapons manufacturer.

Until they left in February 2010 (thanks to all the action taken against them), raytheon's Derry software plant developed the firmware for transponders, targeting software and other crucial guidance system-related work for weapons.

Their factories globally manufacture Tomahawk Cruise missiles, Sidewinder missiles, Hellfire missiles, the "Bunker Buster" bombs, the delivery systems for Cluster bombs, White Phosphate and Napalm.
