The Trash Culture Revue is a DIY festival in Cork that is organised by online gift economy, mutantspace.ie. We held our first festival in June and proved that it is possible to run a festival with absolutely no money relying instead on mutual co-operation, active participation and the giving and sharing of skills and resources. Announcing their support for Saturday’s 1% Network ‘Hallowe’en Treasure Hunt’, anarchist organisation Workers Solidarity Movement (WSM) has said that the government’s proposed €15 billion of cuts would not be necessary if the wealthy were “made to pay their share.” Gregor Kerr, WSM spokesperson, said “The government have declared war on the incomes and living standards of ordinary people.
