It is so hard because AA/NA insist you abandon a way of life which brings you into contact with drugs/alcohol/having fun, or a rebellious lifestyle which may cause depression, leading to drug dependency. read full story / add a comment

Joe Higgins has announced thathe will stand in the upcoming Euro elections in the Dublin area. Also running from the left are Sinn Fein's Mary Lou McDonald and the Green Party's Patricia McKenna MEP. The SWP are rumoured to be still considering standing Richard Boyd Barrett in the Euro election. From the establishment parties, FF are running two candidates, Labour also are running two, Fine Gael on and the PD's are still considering whether or not to stand. The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign has launched a petition from politicians calling on the European Council and the European Council of Foreign Ministers to insist that Israel cease construction of the separation wall across Palestinian land on the West Bank. If Israel does not comply, the petition says, then the human rights clause in the EU-Israel trade agreement should be invoked to suspend Israel's favourable trading rights with the EU. read full story / add a comment |
