Following last Friday's battering of peacful protesters in Bellanaboy by McDowell's Brown Shirts, Galway Shell to Sea activists in revulsion at this potlatch of violence and in solidarity with the put upon people of Erris picketed the Westside Shell Service Station for 90 minutes this evening eliciting sympathy and empathy from passers by and motorists in the plodding traffic who readily took our leaflets.

Government Ministers and the leader of Fine Gael have deliberately sought to create the impression that the campaign is orchestrated by sinister ‘outside’ forces.
