The government is pursuing a policy of centralising health services into a small number of regional centres. The policy has been advanced under the title of "Centres of Excellence". But there is no evidence for the 'robotic centralisation' of acute hospital services, including cancer. But if you want to cut the the public health system––to make room for private ‘providers’––‘centralisation’ is a lethally effective way of doing it. And funneling all patients into a small number of large units facilitates the collection of specimens ... read full story / add a comment

Because of the ongoing struggle of the Irish people for freedom we urge everyone to have a look at the new homepage of the supporters of RSF in Central Europe http://www.irish-solidarity.at.tf and read the voice of the Republican Movement in German. We endeavor to be the nucleus that rebuilds the Irish solidarity movement, to help inform about real situation in Ireland and the lies transported in loyalist, British and bourgeois propaganda around the globe. "How do you recognise a ghost? By the fact that it does not recognise itself in a mirror.

Since all of a sudden [the mirror] no longer plays its role, since it does not reflect back the expected image, those who are looking for themselves can no longer find themselves in it. Men no longer recognise in it the social character of their own labour. It is as if they were becoming ghosts in their turn.

These ghosts that are commodities transform human producers into ghosts. And this whole theatrical process (visual, theoretical, but also optical, optician) sets off the effect of a mysterious mirror."
