Jump To Comment: 1 2The Western People made it front page news that the PRIVATE SECURITY AGENCY was checking security guards in Westport last week - that is bouncers and others in the business - now checking numbers, training...did they visit IMRS compounds? Useful to hear of them doing some regulation work at long last.
The Private Security Authorithy is just another useless operation full of Jobsworthies in Tipperary.
Run by a an ultra appratchick Geraldine Larkin, who openly admitted that she "hasnt a clue on how the security industry operates"
Roundly lambasted by the security industry at its annual conference and exhibition Secure expo 2011 in April in Dublin,as being a JAT[Just Another Tax] on the security industry worker and company,it has consistently failed to vet people properly for the industry standards
Prize example being Micheal Dwyer and Roberto Flores a convicted and wanted mercenary with a war crimes wanted prize on his head by the Hauge. Not to mind various ex IRA thugs who have set up quite nicely in the security industry as doormen and "bodygaurds to Bono"around Dublin and other cities.
So dont expect the PSA to do anything worthwhile like going to check out IRMS.They are more concerned in coining it in in membership fees, taxes and shaking down alarm installers and bothering door men for not having their ID tags properly displayed or some such other rubbish.
