Crown Forces' Concern for Human Life 'Ironic'

category national | miscellaneous | press release author Friday December 12, 2008 17:14author by Richard Walsh - Republican Sinn Féinauthor email tiocfaidh at btinternet dot comauthor phone +44-7835 620 592 / +353-87 261 8603 Report this post to the editors

The decision by the British army to erect a life-sized model of a grieving mother and child at the grave of someone who died as a result of drink-driving is ironic, given the number of Irish people they have killed.

The decision by the British army to erect a life-sized model of a grieving mother and child at the grave of someone who died as a result of drink-driving is ironic, given the number of Irish people they have killed, a spokesman for Republican Sinn Féin has said.

“Whilst it cannot be doubted that the abuse of alcohol has been responsible for many deaths, it is ironic that the British Crown Forces would express such concern for human life. In Ireland, as well as places like Afghanistan and Iraq, they made every effort to murder the natives who were opposed to their presence.

“If their road to Damascus style conversion is genuine then they could demonstrate this by withdrawing from these countries, allowing their native peoples to live in peace.”

Considering the RIRA which continues to enjoy the support of the Republican Sinn Fein political grouping blew a woman pregnant with twins to pieces in the centre of Omagh, ten year ago last August along with more than two dozen others who just happened to be standing within feet of a car bomb on Market St.

The so-called "Real IRA" never enjoyed the support of Republican Sinn Féin, so what in the name of God are you rabbiting on about?

I have the same reaction to RSF members' regular condemnation of abortion.

RSF criticising another organisation for killing innocent people. Now that is darkly amusing.

Wouldn't matter if Hitler sponsored the statue, if only it could make people think about respecting others' right to continued existence. If the monument does go up, we will regard it as a memorial to ALL innocent victims of violence, from any race/nation/political or religious persuasion.

The so called "Crown Forces" are the legitimate armed representatives of the British People.

Similarly the Irish Army is the legitimate armed agency of the Irish People.

The IRA (Real,Provisional or otherwise) are a bunch of self-appointed assassins.

Interesting how the IRA confusedly thinks its opponents are "Crown Forces".

Its opponents are the PEOPLE of Ireland and Britain.

hey pigsbon. who voted for the british army, more importantly who voted for them to be in Ireland, or Iraq for that matter. P.s There is no army called the Irish Army, if you are refering to the Free State Army you will find that 'their Ireland' stops just beyond Louth there. Most State armies are for cannon fodder, they are paid mercenaries and assasins, usually of low inteligence or tendencies towards violence. On the other hand Groups, movements, guerilla armies like the IRA or the many others around the world are volunteers who struggle for their ideals and beliefs, usually borne of the people to defend themselves from against a superior power/occupier etc. You dont have to agree with them, not all their actions are valiant, put im just settin it out straight there for ya.

"The so-called "Real IRA" never enjoyed the support of Republican Sinn Féin"
In the same way that the UVF never enjoyed the support of the DUP?
Lets hear some RSF members condemn them then.
I won´t hold my breath.
Hypocritical shite.

RSF and the Republican Movement have maintained the continuity of the struggle. They are not, nor have they ever been, in any way aligned to the so-called "Real IRA".
