![]() Indymedia exclusive. People before profit organised a picket of Michael Mulcahy's constituency clinic in the Liberties from which he was absent. Michael Mulcahy, who has a degree in Mental and Moral Science, from Trinity College did not attend his constituency clinic at St Catherine's centre in the Liberties. Instead his representative (on the left of the image) spoke to People Before Profit campaigners outside. They were campaigning against the proposed means testing of the Medical card for the over 70's. The Fianna Fáil spokesperson said that he shared many of their concerns. He also admitted he was "confident that the Finance Bill would not be passed" and that there would be a proposal that medical cards for the over 70's would still be means tested but would start at €55,000 per annum. |
