Destruction of Rath Lugh

category meath | environment | news report author Saturday March 22, 2008 19:28author by durty bunny Report this post to the editors

video footage?

The battle to save Rath Lugh continues against all odds, the past week as seen SIAC construction company erect huge metal spiked fencing along the route, whilst they continue to bulldose the esker of the Ancient Monument within the so called "protection zone".
Here is a short video that shows some of the activities going on since the NRA drew back on the ten point signed agreement with a tunnel protester.

Suppoprt is urgently needed for people living in the woods on top of the Rath, we need defence materials, poly-prop, batteries, food, baccy, music, cameras and people prepared to make a stand to help defend Irelands Ancient Heritage!
The protest camp have been tipped off that next Thursday is when they are coming in to evict us from the Rath Lugh Camp??
This could be misinformation but just to be on the safe side we will need people with cameras and food supplys to support folk up in the trees and the people locked on....
