Two Still Held in Antrim

category national | miscellaneous | press release author Tuesday February 05, 2008 23:15author by Richard Walsh - Republican Sinn Féin Report this post to the editors

Two men are still being interrogated at Antrim RUC Barracks.

TWO STILL HELD IN ANTRIM

Republican Sinn Féin has learnt that two men remain in custody in Antrim Barracks despite the release of others. Publicity Officer, Richard Walsh, called for the immediate release of these two men.

“We are aware that only two of those arrested now remain in custody in Antrim. It is time for the British Colonial Police to admit that those arrested were held on the basis of a lie, and to immediately release the other two men.”

RSF will have to get used to this treatment if they ever step up to the plate. This is what happens when you issue a fatwa calling for the deaths of the RUC/PSNI.

I suggest you send up Sharon Blogspot 1986 with a loud hail. She could wear these occupiers down with ever duracell debating technics so they leave the Roisin Dubh and you can run heroicly and release your comrades. Job Done

....you remain dumped . And dumped upon!

Hi 'Ex' !

Unfortunately , RSF are already well used to this treatment .
But why do you seek to introduce a religious edict ("fatwa") into a political situation ?
No wonder you feel 'dumped' !

Thanks!

Sharon.

There are currently major psni operations ongoing for the second day in a row in Newry and south armagh .Scores of armed British police with armoured landrovers are harrasing and searching the population of jonesboro and dromintee . Meanwhile in Newry a column of armoured landrovers is circling the Derrybeg estate and a helicopter is hovering low over the rooftops . Yeasterdays British raids in Newry saw an angry response from local youths who confronted the British police in some of the worst distrurbances seen in almost 10 years in the town .
This follows on from a major PSNI operation at the weekend in Derry on saturday evening when they swamped nationalist districts in armoured cars and set up both sniper and surveillance positions targetting a ceremony to commemorate the death of INLA vol Neil McMonagle , drawing a great deal of anger from the local population . This week has also seen a marked upsurge in British checkpoints on the roads within nationalist districts of the north .

It would appear the state is asserting itself and doing what stormont generally does .

Aye well Barry if the dissident muppet brigade had not issued their statement saying they were going to intensify their murder campagin then I guess this wouldn't be a problem now, would it.
I for one am loathed to seeing things dragged back to the dark ages with the Army on the streets, but there again I'd rather not get blown to bits or gunned down in the crossfire as the RIRA try to prevent decent Irish people from living our lives in peace.

The fight to liberate Ireland will continue until British military and political control over Northern Ireland comes to an end, until British settlers remain in the six counties denying the right of the Irish people to return to lands stolen from them by a British campaign of genocide, until the Free State government in Dublin the puppet of the international capitalist business elite is overthrown and a true Irish socialist 32 county Republic is established, until the sacred national indentity, culture, language and traditions of the Irish people are safeguarded, until there is complete economic equality between all Irish people and until all racists, fascists, criminals and drug traffikers are put out of business.

Shocking. All those check points and now rioting.
Back to the bad old days indeed.
As someone said if the rira could let us live in peace instead of stirring up all this trouble then none of this would be happening.
We are progressing towards a United Ireland nice and peacefully thank you very much.
We do not need armed thugs retarding the process and locking us into a stalemate with the unionists and the governments.
Reunification is nothing but an excuse to vent their blood lust and line their own pockets.

These extremists are living in a separate universe from the rest of the population on this island.
The citizens of the Republic of Ireland are loyal to Dail Eireann, their democratically representatives and the rule of law enforced by the Gardai and the State protected by the Irish Defence Force.
Who are you extremists?
Who appointed you?
What do you hope to achieve?
