This morning the regular cork picketers were overjoyed to be joined by a super hero, not only did he bring smiles from the protestors but also smiles from early morning rush hour traffic , a clear victory.
Early morning picketers in cork were delighted to have a famous super hero flying in to join the action.Drivers also expressed the delight with numerous beeping of horns ,waves and raised fists .Spirits lifted. and as our super hero said 'in this battle with shell and the dark forces of multinational capitalism a mear smile can be our greatest weapon' Before flying of to his next action our freindly hero ensured us he will send friends and other super heros would soon be arriving on the shores of ireland to lift our spirits and join the fight against the environmental terrorists ;shell.

Drivers of cars giving you beeps and raised fists - they may have been threatening you rather than supporting you, for blocking access to the garage!!
Good to see some humour anyway, maybe the Erris people could get dressed up for a Halowe'en blockade - I'm sure it would make great images for the cops lifting pirates and witches off the road...

i was also on the picket , the drivers with raised fists were smiling , this SIGN IS A FAIRLY COMMON sign of solidarity,
for our own resons we decided not to block the entrance to the garage ,
so no one was anoyed for this reason
it all went well
and the super hero was great fun
