An appeal to all groups and individuals to support Tomek. Money for a lawyer is needed now (cost will be around 1000 USD). In case that Tomek would be released he will need money to meet his basic needs as well, as he will not have much funds. He will need help with finding work, house etc.

Tomek Wilkoszewski was a young high school student who along with other friends was the victim of repeated aggression and harassment from Nazi skinheads who were terrorizing people in the town of Radomsko in Poland. After being repeated attacks, they decided that they would defend themselves against their attackers.

One night, one of the skin-heads was stabbed in a fight and bled to death before an ambulance arrived. Tomek was convicted of the killing despite not having admitted to it and without the weapon having being sent to a laboratory for forensic examination. Coming from a poor background, he lacked the means to pay for a good lawyer.

Tomek has been in prison since March 1996 when he was sentenced to 15 years in jail. After serving two thirds of his sentence and being a 'model prisoner', he is now entitled to a parole hearing. Anarchist Black Cross, a support organization for class struggle political prisoners is currently raising money (US$ 1000) so that he can avail of proper legal representation and hopefully secure his release.
