Mark Thomas gives support to Ploughshares action.
So Mark why is it important to support actions like the Ploughshares?:
"There's a whole hosts of reasons why we have to support actions like the PLoughshares. One of them is because Intolerance when a state acts in a way that is illegal and immoral, and backs and supports a war that ignites a region, unifies Ba'athists with fundamentalists in their attack on an occupying force, has decimated the lives of people in Iraq ... When the state behaves in a way that is illegal immoral and bloody then citizens have the not a right but the duty to oppose it.That's our job, we have to oppose it. And the Ploughshares have opposed it in a non-violent and imaginative way that has grabbed peoples' attention and said you can take action at a grassroots level. Very very simple things that are very effective to campaigning against the war in Iraq. And Ireland's alleged neutrality, which is in question by the use of Shannon Airport, you have to support people like this because they are the few voices of sanity out there."
