Epic race through Dublin to raise funds for anti-Shell Campaign.
Thousands cheered as the women of the Shell to Sea campaign set off in great numbers to race around Dublin in the mini-marathon today.
There was no stopping the tireless fighters for justice as they got free massages before setting out.
Shell security staff huddled in Corrib House on Leeson Street as the fearless campaigners thundered past.
While supporters of charities and hospitals looked on aghast, the Shell to Sea contingent quickly strode to the front, and established a dominating lead over the field.
Well done, giirls, well done.
Message from John O'Donohue, Minister for the Arts, Sport and Tourism:
Dear Shell to Sea Women,
All of Ireland salutes you for your brave stand against the evils of capitalism, and also for winning today's Women's Mini-Marathon. Shell may be fourth largest company in the world, but its downfall is inevitable in the face of such determined resistance. We can only wonder what else you are capable of... I wish we were in coalition with the six of you instead of those PD idiots.
