Pope News (for religious materialist types)

The Pope does product placing. At least that was the message from the Wall Street Journal today, and reported globally in translation. It was perhap a sly puritan reference to the rumoured movement on permissive Vatican condom rule relaxation between married really sick people. Or perhaps it was just more bollox, like the pope's election, or all of Dan Brown, or 1916, or the Moon Landings, or 911, or blood sacrifices in general, and more particularly - "everything you watch on TV".

But that much said..,

The Pope, Benedict XVI; (the man (((i))) reminded everyone wore a NAZI uniform as a politically indoctrinated minor); the German Shepherd; Papa Ratzi; the Black Pope; yer man :- has worn these multi-national-corporate logos and products...
Last Pope, didn't do merchandising, or blood sacrifice. He just did Bolshevism

I wrote it. Pat C. & I often spar partner on these things but we really are very different contributors.
mea culpa. mea culpa. mea maxima culpa. Quisque suos patimer manes...
(= my fault, my fault, my grevious fault, every man is liable for his own destiny / actions )
I'm not a catholic, I'm a classicist and a .:. I'm supposed to have a go at the Church, its traditional. we're enemies you know. If you look at the top of the article you'll see my name.
"© iosaf mac diarmada - jayzhus go on. I'll print a poster & put my surname in capitals to the bollox"

I'd also like to point out to you Elisa, that my source for this article & the comment which I also left with Ratzinger in the Guardia Civil tricornio was the Spanish "El Pais", who along with most of the commercial press of Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, and South America carried the story, which means the "RC world".
I see no reason why the Pope can't just stick to playing the piano for his musical moments like I do, I noted we share the same repetoire when he was elected, and likewise see no reason he can't stick to cheap and cheerful sunglasses like I do as well. Sporting sunglasses which are valued in many hundreds of euros just seems too..... borgia but that would be in keeping with his style, he saw fit to wear for Christmas the camauro which you might know was a 13th, 14th, and 15th (hey & right through the Borgias pretty little number in red fur). Two items of clothing that Benedict has not be seen in are the papal tiara or the vestmental gloves, known as gauntlets.
Fact (= conjecture) is - his psychological profiling so far has included attention to his love of "dressing up".

"so the pope has a pair of sungalsses and a walkman??"

i never mentioned shades, walkpersons, or ipods.

remember i brought up cats and playing bach & mozart on the piano. i found this rather endearing.

so the pope has a pair of sungalsses and a walkman??What exactly is your point here??Does not every single person in the world, wether in a position of power, grace or whatever, product place almost every day. I mean if he can't have an ipod nano to listen to his tunes what will he listen to ??Have a choir following him around to sing to him??This isnt about product placement,if it was you could target anyone.Your targetting the pope cos he's the the catholic pope and an easy target on indymedia

whats wrong? i'm being nice to the pope, i admit that certain "socialists" were mass murderers. how does that qualify as jacobinism?

They say Indymedia is tolerant... and yet Pat's Jacobinism is given free reign.

how many people have been killed and starved becasue of left wing policy?

author by Lefty typepublication date Thu Apr 27, 2006 14:12author address author phone Report this post to the editors

ok then. Hows about ALL religious hierarchies suck? That enough of a broadside for ya?

How many people have been executed/burned at stake/martyred/mutilated/otherwise over the years in the name of god/buddha/allah/jah/yahweh etc? How many people are dying of AIDS in Africa cos of the church's stance on contraceptives? How many people are dying in Iraq everyday cos of the supposed difference between Sunni and Shi'ite Islam? How many Palestinians have been shot at checkpoints because of Zionists? How many Jews have been blown up because of Hamas?

In particular tho, the pope is the head of a (deep breath) chauvinistic discriminatory racist undemocratic conservative fundamentalist (whew) institution, but then most religions are patriarchal so it doesnt really stand out from the rest.

' i reckon he like other youths at the time had little choice about joining the HY or the wermacht'

Then why did you feel the need to remind everyone that he had to wear a nazi uniform, even though you believe he had like everyone else at the time had little/no choice in wearing it??

melanie mcdonagh writing in new statesman (10 apr 06) writes that pope benny settles down with his cats and plays bach and mozart on the piano after a hard day at the vatican. he drinks lemonade or Orangina, or a little beer.

ok. find out what beer & lemonade he drinks & get him pictured drinking it. guarantee benny a lifetime supply (actuary tells us not tp worry).sales should go up.

should help bach & mozart CD sales , maybe even piano sales. find out the piano brand.

invest in cat futures.
