Eugene Garvey, Dundalk Ógra spokesperson said,
"As young republican activists we must be active on this issue as suicide as it is the biggest killer of young people in Ireland. An all Ireland mental health strategy must be formulated, funded and implemented as this is a national issue. On this the 90th year of the Easter Rising it is about time that our country started to “cherish all the children of the nation equally” and give them an option better than death."
