Cyril Ferez, 39, member of the union SUD-PTT, after the brutal police attack

Cyril Ferez, 39 years old works at Torcy as an technician for the Orange telephone company and is a member of the SUD-PTT union.
He has been hospitalised at Henri-Mondor de Créteil in the Val-de-Marne district, after suffering serious head injuries at the confrontation with CRS (French riot police) in the Nation district of Paris on Saturday. An inquiry has been opened.
http://libe.com/page.php?Article=368679

Unionists from SUD-PTT said police men did punch him with their feet and run over him (1), unionists from CNT describe how about 30 police men "lynched" him (2), photographers tell on yahoo news (germany), they have seen police men hunting him and then beating him when already lying on the street.

After the attack Cyril lied about 15 minutes on the street. Police did neither help him nor call an ambulance.

2 students then called an ambulance. The ambulance was 200 meters away - it took 20 minutes till they arrived at Cyril Ferez.(3)

(following me around as usual)
the BBC are highlighting the "conflicting reports" thing. Now it works like this, no matter how good indymedia servers or sites are at getting our hits at the top of google searches and no matter how attentive the news desks have become in recent years to our comments, articles and coverage, the BBC and EFE and people like that (state news agencies) are still the "news sites of record". I see indymedia still as an archive resource.

again I beseech everyone to look at what his trade union say and are saying, ( & I'll try and get a translation done but it will be at least a day before I have time up to my eyes and behind schedule as it is [ =HINT : one of the other regular contributors could do it before hand or at least a summary. ])

and then read our feature article :-

We're not splitting just because the spilt heads.
It could have been, and may be again -
any member of the european social movement.

after I linked it here this morning, on our main coverage of the ongoing situation, I searched for english language coverage, and there was none, only 2 articles in spanish. I then left one on bcn imc.

Saying the man was almost killed seems pretty accurate. He's been put in a coma and was beaten around the head after he had falled following a direct blow to the head. Bruno the Liberation interviewee said "he couldn't run fast enough". We ought not need to run fast enough.

There are however important statements from the presently comatose man's trade union.

at the article there are also pdf files to download on the commercial media disinformation curve.
Remember that at times like this "our media" is more important than ever. The commercial media and the capitalist interests they serve are happy to see us continue to live in precarity.

It could have been anyone of us.
