Grafton Street Protest in support of Joanne Delaney

category dublin | worker & community struggles and protests | news report author Friday February 24, 2006 16:03author by Jim

Despite rainy weather a good protest was held outside Dunnes Stores on Grafton Street in suport of Joanne Delaney who was sacked for wearing a badge. At times the store was empty despite it being a Thursday evening - one of the busiest times of the week on Grafton Street. There was as usual an excellent response from passers by and several customers turned away from Dunnes when they saw the protest.
