Le Pen run out of town

Eye witness account from demo against Le Penn, Manchester 25-4-04

“The BNP’s publicity stunt for the press was supposed to be a closely guarded secret but we got word of the location on Sunday afternoon from a friendly source. Although time was tight and the location outside Manchester we got 300+ out to the hotel in time to meet the nazis trying to leave. The police were out in force but didn’t have much of a clue what they were at. The hotel’s rubbish bins were handily located and le prick’s car was soon covered in garbage. His thugs had dressed up in suits but were still clearly thugs and badly rattled. They obviously had visions of their boy getting a bad seeing to. Unfortunately this didn’t happen.

For the next 30-40 minutes the car was inched out of the hotel car park as we were pushing right up against it. Griffin was badly embarrassed as it was obvious the anti fascists had won the day and could have done damage to car and occupants. In the end Lancashire’s finest just about got them out and didn’t seem to notice the goons throwing punches at demonstraters, women included. Of the 1 anti fascist arrest I know of he was later released without charge. The nazi wagon was last seen breaking speed limits to get out of the town.”

Unfortunately the term "Nazi" has become debased through overuse by the whiney Left.

Le Pen consistently achieves a siginificant perecetage of the votes of the French people. In a democracy, someone who receives this many votes from so many people should be treated with respect.

I think the Nazis are the ones who are trying to repress free speech.

a) his name is spelled LE PEN , not le penn .

b) it was rather hypocritcal of the protesters to chuck eggs and rubbish at his car - no doubt if it was an asylum seeker getting stuff chucked at him they would be up in arms about it .

c) he was not run out of town , as this thread claims

d) I'm not in any way a fan of Le Pen , but I do believe in free speech . it is most amusing that the protesters at this demo call him a nazi . do they not know anything about the opression of free speech during the third reich ?

Please, come on.

Le Pen was the producer of several nazi song LPs during the sixites ... but of course he is not a nazi.

Le Pen has been indicted and found guilty several times for racism and holocaust denying ... but of course he is not a nazi.

Le Pen is a Vichy apologist (the puppet government set up by the nazis during WW2 in france, responsible for the deportation of a bunch of french jews) ... but of course he is not a nazi.

Le Pen is always talking about some jewish conspiracy against him ... but of course he is not a nazi.

Le Pen stated that concentration camps and crematory ovens are just WW2 "details" ... but of course he is not a nazi.

Yes Le Pen had 20% of the votes in 2002 but remember that the abstention percentage was 43% ... 20% of not much is still not much.

If you think that LE Pen is not a nazi, you can indeed go fuck yourself you damned nazi (free speech is not free speech anymore when it comes to bullshit and atrocities).

I don't think anyone on this thread should even try and claim Le Pen is not a Nazi on this site.

The Reds have made up their own minds on who fits into their vision and who doesn't. Here, the thought police earn their stripes.

Na·zi : A member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, founded in Germany in 1919 and brought to power in 1933 under Adolf Hitler.

if we arew going to be pedantic about it , is Le Pen a member of the NSGWP ?

or do you label everyone with right wing views as a nazi and refuse to believe in freedom of speech ?

if it was a communist/socialist being critiicised for what they were saying and refused entry to the UK you would no doubt be up in arms about it .

He sure is a fucking cunt.

The fact that such a large precentage of French people vote for this bastard tells you a lot about him and much more about them.
If he were elected he would reinvade Algeria(where he commited war crimes) and all the other states that France overran when they tried to colonise the planet and make it French.

Why did he oppose the war agaqinst Iraq?
Maybe cause he was cosy with sadistic fascist dictator Saddam?
He hates America too by the way.

Chirac is not afraid of shrill socialists as much as he is afraid of Le Pen.
That's why he opposed the Iraq war.

Remember Le Pen is a former member of the OAS - they tried to assassinate De Gaulle in 1963 and overthrow democracy with a military coup.

If De Gaulle had not defeated them you could forget about the student uprisings of 1968- instead of being baton charged they would have been mown down by machine guns.

OK I certainly do not believe half of the shit that Le Pen states. He, like the majority of politicians, is probably lying, but I still think he had every right in the world to deliver his speech. I mean, its a valid point that if the British had refused him entry then so would alot of the Leftwing european politicians. Pim Fortyun would not have been allowed in, if he had lived long enough, and thats definitely wrong, coz all in all, Fortuyn was not as bad as everyone seems to make him out to be. He had some good ideas, some bad ideas as well. Le Pen has the odd good idea, but alot of bad ideas.

If its gonna be brought to the extent that Le Pen went through, then will you all be helping to show Abu Hamza the door. I mean this is a man who openly admits that he funds arab Jihads against Westerners and other such terroristic acts.

As for Righteous pragmatist, can I borrow your magic ball please. I mean basically you are stating everything that could have happened as if they would have definitely happened. There is a large percentage chance that what you said would have happened, would have happened, BUT there is still a chance that it would not have happened.

What War Crimes did he do in Algeria?? I do not seem to be able to find much on the net about it, could you please provide me with a link. And when did he state he was willing to invade Algeria again, I can't seem to find anything on that either??

To call him a Nazi is to remove the drastic nature of such a word. The majority of Irish would not see him as Nazi, because he is not German and unfortunately the majority of Irish people see German Rightwing = Nazi. He did not belong to the Nazi Party, he did belong to the Vichy Government, but that was NOT the nazi party no matter how much you want it to be. You see if you go around calling him a Nazi, and the Austrian guy a Nazi, and no doubt me a Nazi coz I defend his right to free speech, then when a true nazi comes along the word has been watered down and people don't take it as seriously.

At what point does the right to Free speech finish. At what point do you state that this person has overstepped his mark and as such his/her right to free speech should be removed. I don't thnk anybody should have the right to decide such a statement and if that is the case then why are you protesting about the Government choosing to remove your right to free speech.

I agree the Thought Police seem to be out and about at the moment.

Perhaps your time would be better spent thinking about the real grievances that drives people to vote for Le Pen and the BNP rather than attacking 75 year old men. Immigration has brought difficulties to both Britain and France as well as opportunities. Unfortunately, the ideological adherence to open-borders dogma on this site (and castigation of all critics as racists) prevents open debate.

And oppression has two Ps.

Le Pen is a murdering torturing toe rag who burns books and incites people to murder.

As the french comrade says he republishes Nazi propaganda and listens to nazi music. He adulates nazi collaborators from the Vichy pro-nazi regime.

He cracks jokes about the holocaust to jewish deputies.

In Algeria he tortured and murdered Arabs and enjoyed it.

Nazi is a fair term for him.

While I think forcing the portrush skinheads to drink a cup of cod liver oil would have been appropriate, a bullet in the head for this demagogue would not have been disproportionate. In fact, if he could be shot dead, buried, dug up and shot again it would be better.

Pity the manchester sisters and brothers didn't catch him or Nick Griffin in a dark alley.

Well done!

"At a time of simmering racial tension in some of our northern towns and cities, the last thing Britain needs is a visit from the high priest of racial divisiveness." So read a Daily Mail leader. Sadly, though, this wasn't taken from yesterday's paper, which offered no condemnation of Jean-Marie Le Pen's weekend stay in the UK. The quotation is from August 2001, and refers to the prospect of a visit by Louis Farrakhan, of the US-based Nation of Islam.

Fortunately for the Mail, David Blunkett was also exercised about Farrakhan, and went to the appeal court to ensure that his exclusion order against the American was not revoked. However, in the case of Le Pen, the leader of the French National Front, the home secretary's hotline to his lawyers went cold. Blunkett told Sunday's Breakfast with Frost that "If [Le Pen] behaves himself, he's free to come and go as any other citizen in Europe" - forgetting that he does have the power to exclude EU citizens if their presence is against the public interest.

Both Farrakhan and Le Pen have been rightly condemned for their slurs against Jewish people (though only Le Pen seeks the suppression of millions from minority groups as a point of principle); so why is our home secretary hellbent on ensuring one never gets near our country, and yet so relaxed about the other? Why does one have such powerful enemies, and the other not? Guess which one's black, and which one's white.

Interesting that in Europe the Left uses the same Cliches and labels liked "Nazi" instead of honestly debating the political stances of Patriots like Le Pen. That is because they will always loose in an honest debate in the arena of ideas. As the left looses their controll of the Europian media and News, the right will win with the truth as they have in the U.S. elections of Nov. 4th 2004!
