Comhlámh's Coming Home Weekend - May 2013

‘The Coming Home Weekend’ is designed for people who have returned home from development work or volunteering overseas. The two days provide a fantastic opportunity to meet with other returned development workers and volunteers, hear each other's experiences, share tips for settling back, plan how to put to good use in Ireland the experiences gained overseas and have some fun!

How much?

The course will cost €50 per person, which covers all training materials, single ensuite accommodation costs, meals and refreshments.
When and Where?

9-5pm, 18th and 19th May 2013 inclusive (Residential), at All Hallows College, Gracepark Rd, Drumcondra, Dublin 9.

What is provided?

An informal and relaxed space to meet likeminded people, socialise and share experiences openly and safely
A reflection on the overseas experience
Strategies for being at "home"
A consideration for critical perspectives on volunteering
An opportunity to consider future activities and career options
A great networking opportunity

Who Should Attend?

The weekend is open to anyone who have worked or volunteered overseas for 3 months+ in a development/humanitarian/aid or human rights capacity.

What Else?

Facilitation is by Comhlámh staff and returned development workers; Participatory group format (individual, small group and large group sessions); Social gathering on Sat night optional.
