Smoggie Queens Shows How Far BBC Comedy Has Fallen Fri Dec 06, 2024 09:00 | Steven Tucker
Smoggie Queens shows how far BBC comedy has fallen, says Steven Tucker. Let's be honest, there's only one reason the corporation made this awful TV programme, and it's certainly not because it's funny.

Its way past time to arrest Labour's pretense at representing the dispossessed. They are embedded in the mercenary war economics that are destroying the last shreds of civilisation for their homicidal and genocidal idiocies.
Get to Galway. Amen Gaelmore, the weakest link. Time to fire the fuckers.
Ireland was never neutral .
UK and American airmen who fell on Ireland during WW2 were let slip across the border to fight Hitler another day.
Germans who fell on Ireland were kept here until the war ended.
and historical circumstances.
Then the threat to global progress was the fascistic imperial alliances from Berlin to Tokyo...now its again the WASP axis of corporate nuclear self-righteous militarism.
Times change...our relative neutrality in '39-'45 was a wise and pragmatic course. It is not a redundant policy.
Not just for self-interest but for the sake of generalised peace and progress it should be rediscovered.
We were saved by the English Opus.
Hitler didn't give a damn about the neutrality of Denmark or Norway or the Netherlands.
There were a lot of Irish in their armies...as there always were.
Your simplicfications are trite. English 'interests' in saving Ireland, other than as a western flanker, are well documented. Rinse your sash and try again. Churchill had a history not too ideologically far from Adolf Inc.
Try a little thinking with your belligerence, if its not too late.
The English did a lot of harm to Ireland all right Opus.
But.
In saving themselves they saved Ireland as a by-product.
The fact is, there is a big difference between helping some american airmen fighting hitlers fascism to get home versus facilitating the transport of innocent men to black prisons to be tortured, or allowing imperialists to transport their cannon fodder and weapons which they are using to kill innocent brown people in order to grease up their war industry at home and usurp the resources of these poor brown people for their own corporate profits abroad. We should not be a part of any of that.
This is not so much about nit picking neutrality so much as basic morality. By blatantly aligning ourselves with these amoral forces, we are little better than they are. We need to re-align our collective moral compasses now and put a stop to our collusion in murder and torture for profit. No more military use of our airports.
