The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission – Paint Job

category national | crime and justice | other press author Tuesday September 06, 2011 12:27author by Seán Ryan Report this post to the editors

Proof that the Garda Ombudsman is a paint job.

Ombudsman Painter Decorators

The Garda Ombudsman has been operating since May of 2007. It replaced the Garda Complaints Board when the gardaí investigating the gardaí became an issue that was too hot for the State to handle. This was particularly so in the case of the McBreartys.

So the Garda Complaints Board was replaced with a paint job. A very expensive paint job.

For every conviction secured on the efforts of the Ombudsman, that hasn't been overturned by appeal, the Ombudsman has spent €8,000,000.
