I have heard of no case where the department has taken the most rudimentary steps to ascertain whether the so-called "absent father has declined to support his child or children. When did the department last contact such a man and ask him if he was willing to marry the mother, or to accept joint, or even sole custody of his child/children? Not one of, these 70,000 men owes mothers or the State a cent, because there can be no legal obligation on a father to pay "maintenance" for children he has not refused to support in these ways. read full story / add a comment

Frank McBrearty Jnr and Eamon McCann will speak at a meeting in Wynn's Hotel, Abbey Street, on Thursday 28 July at 7.30 pm. Frank McBrearty Jnr, a spectacular victim of garda corruption, is also eloquent about linking his case with other examples of all that is wrong with today's ireland, such as is highlighted by the Rossport 5. Eamon McCann needs no introduction. Both will speak on the need for a new Left in ireland, one that actively resists injustice and acts for real change. read full story / add a comment ![]()

The Irish police (An Garda Shítonyá) stand exposed as riddled with institutionalised corruption from top to bottom. In the McBrearty case these bent cops set up innocent people for imaginary murder - and this scandal is not the greatest of their crimes. The ongoing cover-up of this case has lasted 9 years, and is now being exposed. This 57minute DivX video document made from secret police interrogation footage and explosive documentation introduces the whole story. 100MB download. read full story / add a comment

This Friday, 17 June 2005, in Dail Eireann there is a special session scheduled for 'Statements on the Morris Tribunal' from 10:30am - 13:30pm. To further expose this scandal and the politico/legal Cover-Up now in full swing, the extended McBrearty family from Donegal (the targets of the vicious frame-up on Murder charges by Gardai) will be attending this hearing and they'll have a few words for people both inside and outside Leinster House. So come along to learn what the media refuses to touch about this unfolding scandal, and lend your voice and presence on this historic occasion! We assemble at 10am at the Kildare Street entrance to Dail Eireann. Also please spread the word out to anybody who can contribute and blitz the Media to cover this. The attached flyer is being distroed today in Dublin, if a few people would like to urgently lend a hand it would be much appreciated. Sorry for the short notice + Thanks, BP read full story / add a comment |
