A group of us in Cork decided to do something to mark international anti-mcdonalds day, and so the day before we collected food to be thrown out from local supermarkets and bakeries. The next morning we met up at a friends house and struggled with our cooking skills, and managed to whip up sum vegetable soup, and vegi burgers and hummous, which we then distributed with with bread and fruit outside our local mcdonalds. read full story / add a comment

Racists blocking internet information about veteran two tone ska gigs. Both Neville Staples/The Beat were due to play Belfast recently, both are Touring Ireland but no information about their gigs was available on the internet or even at the venues they were supposed to be playing at. read full story / add a comment |
