There will be a bus on Saturday morning leaving Cork to attend the Anti-war demo in Dublin, organised by the SWP in Cork. Bus departs from beside the City Library on Grand Parade at 9:30am, returning after the demo finishes in Dublin. Fare will be around 10 euros or so. More details ring Wille at 087-9386088. Two British witnesses described how an Israeli soldier killed their child guide, 13-year-old Bahaa Albahish, in Nablus with a single shot to the chest. "We were walking down the street, four internationals and Bahaa, and there had been some youths throwing stones at an Israeli patrol made up of a tank and an armoured personnel carrier," said Ewa Jasiewicz, 24, a volunteer with the pro-Palestinian International Solidarity Movement. "The incident had calmed down and it did not seem to be a threatening situation. Suddenly an armoured vehicle appeared around the corner and stopped. We stood at the side of the street and a single shot rang out." "I think it was from an M-16, not the heavy machinegun mounted on top. I felt the bullet near me. The next hearing will be in the High Court in Dublin on Oct 28th. "He presented to the gardai digital photos taken of the Guards with sticks from torn off placards (several of these pictures are at www.indymedia.ie)" I noticed this line in a previous news item on this site regarding the Burlington Hotel cases. I am up in court next week over the PPP Protest and those pictures could come in really handy. Anyone know where I can find them? read full story / add a comment
