Now they have been joined by Traveller groups in calling for a protest on May 2nd against a set of amendments to the Act pushed through the D*°il last month that create, for the first time, a crime of "trespass". Every Irish person, lost in the horror of what the Israelis, supported by US of A are doing in Palestine, can look with amazement if not pride at the courageous actions of those brave people who managed to access those who have taken refuge in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. The fact that an Irish women, Mary Kelly, is amongst them, answers so many questions for those who watch with anguish but feel there is nothing any one of us can do. There was, and she amongst others has done it. May be these brave people have secured those seeking refuge from a bloodbath which the Israelis would happily engage in. When Mary comes home, alive and safe as we all hope, we should organise a cavalcade of honour, and freedom of the city. read full story / add a comment
