Irish republicanism has always included a radical democratic and leveling element and which continues to provide part of the culture of resistance of the most down trodden sections of the working class. A new campaign is currently being launched, with the aim of giving people a real alternative to the Fine Gael/Labour coalition that is on the cards - and returning true democracy to Ireland.

The public are urged to come to a meeting in the Central Hotel, Exchequer Street, Dublin, tonight (Thursday), and tomorrow night, at 8.00pm.

At its biennial conference last weekend, the Technical Engineering and Electrical Union (TEEU) unanimously voted to “support for a boycott campaign of Israeli goods and services and a policy of disinvestment from Israeli companies” as a result of the Israeli state’s continuing breaches of international law and human rights abuses against the people of Palestinian. The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) welcomed the passing of the motion[1].

Yesterday 23/11/10, Concerned Families Against Drugs was handed a substantial quantity of Cocaine and a dozen or so cultivated Cannabis plants (see photos) by a number of local people in the Ardoyne area. Also taken was other equipment used in the supply of illegal drugs.

A vigil was organised to meet next to our national monument on Grand Parade, with a few hours notice, in honour of the loss of Irish sovereignty.
